Doosan's lift truck history
Korea’s original domestic forklift market was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. begun to import assembled forklifts as part of a national equipment expansion project. Early sales of this industrialized equipment focused on large business communities, the armed forces and on state-run corporations. This eventually led to a unification with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division commenced business operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a lift truck manufacturing plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical training became the new focus for enhancing quality and product development.
The overall efficiency of the propane forklift is remarkable. As the propane cylinders can be changed in hardly any time, the machine could be back on the job reasonably quick as it experiences hardly any downtime. It is not like the electric forklift where extra batteries must be purchased to be utilized while the original battery can take up to 8 hours of cooling time plus 8 hours of charging time depending on the model.
Safety
For the reason that the propane forklift has a sealed fuel system, it is a lot safer to work as opposed to the various kinds of lift trucks existing. The propane fuel cylinders themselves follow strict national code specialization and are sealed to guarantee optimum safety. Propane gas also works with less energy compared to CNG gas, hence, if any accident takes place, there is a system where the fuel is shut off. This significantly minimizes the possible risk and destruction that could happen. Refilling options are even beneficial for the operator. If they would rather refuel somewhere else, the cylinders could be transported to a refilling centre. If the company prefers, the refilling could be done on site instead.
